Funding for Notre Dame Faculty

The Reilly Center’s Program in Health, Humanities, and Society is soliciting applications for grants of up to $1,500 to fund academic lectures and other events on the ND campus during the 2023-2024 academic year that address medicine, illness, disability, medical education, or any similar subject. Proposals that address the Reilly Center’s current theme of “Race, Justice, and Equity” will receive priority funding. Proposals from the humanities, arts, and the social sciences that engage with these themes are especially welcome, though the competition is open to faculty from all colleges.

Proposals (no more than one page) should include the following elements:

  • information on the proposed speaker and subject
  • information on the nature of the event
  • information on how the event addresses questions of race, justice, and equity
  • identification of the expected audience on campus
  • detailed budget and timeline

Review of applications begins on May 4, though we will accept applications on a rolling basis if funds are available.
