The Institute for Scholarship in the Liberal Arts (ISLA) will host a virtual information session on the new Arts & Letters Research Innovation Labs program on Friday, November 17, 12:00 - 12:45 p.m. This new funding opportunity through ISLA offers course releases and research funding to teams of scholars pursuing "a core question (or small set of closely related questions) collaboratively and from transdisciplinary perspectives. Labs will foster research, teaching, and outreach, deepening connections across disciplines, and bringing the insights of the liberal arts to public life."

This webinar will include:

  • An overview of the goals of the Arts & Letters Research Innovation Labs program

  • Examples of the types of projects this program might sponsor

  • Tips and strategies for submitting competitive applications

  • A Q&A session with ISLA staff and ISLA's director, Prof. Kate Marshall

While principal investigators for Research Innovation Labs must be tenured or tenure-track faculty with primary appointments in the College of Arts and Letters, other scholars may be formal collaborators. All faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and staff at the University of Notre Dame are welcome to attend the webinar on November 17.
