    • Students in HHS can participate in the ISSLP/SSLP program as part of their minor, practicing solidarity with the marginalized and promoting justice and human dignity. Check out more information about the SSLP opportunity at this page and the ISSLP here. Applications for the ISSLP are now open and the deadline is October 25, 2021. Applications for the SSLP summer 2022 will open November 1, 2021. HHS students interested in linking their minor with this ISSLP/SSLP opportunity should contact Prof. Smith-Oka (vsmithok@nd.edu).

  • Capstone Project

    • Students in the Health, Humanities, and Society (HHS) minor may choose to meet three credits of elective requirements by undertaking a senior capstone project. This capstone will give students an opportunity for sustained exploration of contemporary concerns in medical practice. More information can be found here.

    • The Affiliated Faculty in the Health, Humanities, and Society Program regularly teach cross-listed courses and/or mentor HHS students. They also participate in the academic life of the Program and may serve on HHS committees (such as the Health, Humanities, and Society Executive Committee). Reach out to the Program Director, Vania Smith-Oka with a brief statement of interest if you would like to explore the possibility of becoming a faculty affiliate at HHS.)
