The Wireless Institute (WI) at Notre Dame is committed to continuing technological innovation and studying economic and policy issues related to wireless.
Established in 2010, the Wireless Institute in the College of Engineering provides administrative and organizational support for research and education in wireless communications technology, economics, and policy at the University of Notre Dame. WI is a College Institute within the College of Engineering, and involves participants from the Departments of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Sociology, and Finance.

The Reilly Center and Wireless Institute
J. Nicholas Laneman, the founding director of Notre Dame's Wireless Institute and Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering, is a Reilly Fellow. The Reilly Center and Wireless Institute have teamed up to host speakers and apply for research funding.
Both the Reilly Center and Wireless Institute are committed to thinking about the broader impacts of science and engineering and performing research on policy issues.
