Mitchell Liddick

Biography

Mitchell Liddick is a PhD student in the Department of Biological Sciences working with Dr. Jennifer Tank to explore the fate and transport of environmental contaminants in agriculturally impacted streams. Specifically, he is modeling the ecological factors that influence the transport of antibiotic resistance in flowing waters and assessing the efficacy of current agricultural management practices to reduce nutrient inputs from overland flow into streams. His work is at the nexus of scientific research and translational ecology, and aims to improve water quality for the benefit of all life. Mitchell loves dancing, fishing, and crafting the perfect shot of espresso to catalyze his day-to-day work.
