Elischia is a master of global affairs student minoring in peace studies, and recipient of a Lu Sun and Arthur Zhang Fellowship. She is an award-winning social entrepreneur, and human rights advocate with a bachelor’s degree in forensic psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and an MBA from New England College. Elischia has worked in education assessment and tutored business English to students studying English as a Second Language (ESL). She is the founder and former executive director of EOTO World, a capacity-building nongovernmental organization focused on poverty eradication, peacebuilding, and sustainable development. As a community organizer, Elischia worked for national organizations that combat sexual and domestic violence. Her background includes internationally and nationally syndicated work as a freelance journalist, consulting for a private global market research and analysis firm, and successful student activism that established the first system-wide sexual assault policy at the City University of New York. She has served as a member of the board of directors for several organizations, and currently serves as an advisor to an international start-up in Argentina.

Elischia joins Notre Dame with an intersectional academic focus on mitigating climate change and social inequity through development work that includes policy, governance, and green supply chains. She joins the GLOBES certificate program with scientific interests in how to reduce supply chain burdens affecting water, human ecology, land, and energy.
