Recent HPS Graduate Students; Brecevic, Elder, and Ramirez Land Tenure and Research Positions at Seattle University, Tufts University and Purdue University

HPS graduate student Char Brecevic (HPS 2022) has officially accepted a tenure-track offer as an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Seattle University (SU). When she's not carrying out expected professorial duties or hiking through Mt. Ranier National Park, she will be working with fellow SU faculty to further the university's interdisciplinary Initiative in Ethics and Transformative Technologies (IETT).

 

 

 

 

 

 

Elder
Jamee Elder

HPS (philosophy track) alum Jamee Elder (HPS 2020) has accepted a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Tufts University. Jamee will start at Tufts in Fall 2023 after completing their current postdoc at the Black Hole Initiative (Harvard). As part of this position, Jamee will develop new courses that enhance the department's technology-related curriculum at both undergraduate and graduate levels and work with colleagues in the emerging Tufts AI Institute. Part of the position will involve increasing the department's technology-related presence by developing new courses that enhance the department's technology-related curriculum at both undergraduate and graduate levels and engaging with colleagues in the emerging Tufts AI Institute.
Jamee will begin her appointment in Fall 2023 after the completion of her current postdoc at the Black Hole Initiative, Harvard.

Sebastián Murgueitio Ramírez

Sebastián Murgueitio Ramírez (HPS 2021) Has been appointed Assistant Professor in the Philosophy Department at Purdue University beginning Fall 2022 after completion of his current postdoc in the philosophy of symmetries at the University of Oxford
